The journal Acta Entomologica Serbica does not charge authors an article processing charge (APC).

The scientific aims of Acta Entomologica Serbica are centered on publishing high-quality research in the field of general entomology, including studies on the biology, ecology, systematics, and taxonomy of insects. Additionally, the journal emphasizes applied entomology, covering areas such as medicine, agriculture, forestry, and veterinary science, where insects play a significant role. Contributions that focus on other arthropod groups are also welcomed, reflecting the journal’s commitment to advancing knowledge across a broad spectrum of arthropod-related disciplines. This inclusive approach ensures the dissemination of diverse and impactful research to the entomological community and beyond.

Journal History

The journal was first established as Glasnik Entomološkog društva Kraljevine Srba, Hrvata i Slovenaca (Bulletin of the Entomological Society of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes) in May 1926, then renamed to Glasnik Jugoslovenskog entomološkog društva (Bulletin of the Yugoslav Entomological Society) in 1929. It was re-established asActa entomologica Jugoslavica in 1971 and obtained its current name in December 1996.
